Users can sign in by connecting a supported EVM wallet.
Session Key
To make trading fast and seamless, Optivi uses a session key - a temporary signing key that lets you trade without signing every transaction manually, enabling a smooth one-click trading experience.
Security: The session key has limited scope - it can only place and manage trades within your subaccount. It cannot withdraw funds.
Deposit & Create Subaccount
After connecting, you need to fund your Optivi subaccount before you can open any positions.
When you make your first deposit, you will be prompted to create a new one, dedicated subaccount on Derive regardless of whether you're a new or returning user.
This subaccount will be visible on your Derive dashboard.
Steps:
Click “Deposit” button
Choose one of the supported deposit networks (Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, or OP Mainnet), and enter the amount.
Confirm the transactions in your wallet.
Alternative: If we detect that you already have existing subaccounts on Derive, you'll also see an option to transfer funds from one of them instead of depositing from an external wallet.
Your funds are deposited into a Derive subaccount - an ERC-721s account owned by you that holds your collateral and open positions. Optivi never takes custody of your funds.

Important: Subaccount Rules
Do not rename your Optivi subaccount: Changing the name may cause issues with how Optivi identifies your account.
Do not trade on this subaccount through other interfaces: If you interact with this subaccount via Derive or any other platform directly, data displayed in Optivi may become inaccurate. Your funds remain safe, this only affects how positions and history are displayed within Optivi.
